PLUMSTEAD

Plumstead, West Thamesmead is a major mixed-use regeneration development creating a new connection between Plumstead, Broadwater Green, and Thamesmead. The scheme will deliver 1,750 homes, including 700 affordable homes, alongside 57,000 sq ft of employment, retail, and community space. Designed around landscaped public spaces and active travel routes, the project will create an inclusive and sustainable new neighbourhood.

Toureen is proud to be involved in the Plumstead, West Thamesmead development, a transformative regeneration scheme designed to create a vital new connection between the communities of Plumstead, Broadwater Green, and Thamesmead.

The proposals reimagine the traditional London square through high-quality architecture centred around a large public open space, complemented by wide tree-lined streets and landscaped public realm that promote walking, cycling, and community interaction.

The development will provide a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood, incorporating integrated ground floor employment, community, and retail uses throughout the scheme. In total, approximately 57,000 sq ft of commercial and community space will be delivered, creating a local hub of amenities and services for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Centrally located community facilities will provide convenient walk-to services, supporting both the new neighbourhood and the surrounding area.

A total of 1,750 new homes are proposed across the 17-acre site, including 700 affordable homes. The residential offering will include a diverse mix of one, two, and three-bedroom homes across a range of tenures, carefully designed to meet local housing needs.

The development adopts a tenure-blind approach, ensuring all homes are delivered to the same high architectural and construction standards, helping to create an inclusive and cohesive community.

Toureen is committed to delivering a high-quality place that will generate long-term social, economic, and environmental benefits for West Thamesmead and the wider area.
