BERGER HOUSE
Toureen delivered the demolition and enabling works for the redevelopment of the former Berger House site. The new scheme will provide 85,000 sq ft of office space, 9,000 sq ft of flexible retail/office accommodation, and 7,000 sq ft of terrace gardens. The project was delivered with a strong focus on minimising disruption to neighbouring properties and the local community.
The former Berger House building was demolished to facilitate a major new commercial redevelopment delivering high-quality office, retail, and landscaped amenity space.
The new scheme will provide approximately 85,000 sq ft of premium office accommodation across nine upper floors, with floorplates of up to 11,000 sq ft. In addition, the development includes 9,000 sq ft of flexible retail and/or office space at ground and lower ground floor levels, together with 7,000 sq ft of terrace gardens to enhance occupier wellbeing and outdoor amenity.
A key priority throughout the demolition and enabling phases was the careful mitigation and management of disruption to the surrounding environment, neighbouring properties, and local residents. Particular focus was placed on controlling noise, vibration, and dust within this sensitive urban setting.
Toureen utilised modern plant, advanced demolition methodologies, and best-practice environmental controls to minimise impacts on the local area and ensure all activities were managed safely and efficiently throughout the programme.
Toureen is proud to have contributed to the successful preparation of this landmark redevelopment, supporting the delivery of high-quality commercial space in a prime urban location.
