Toureen delivered land remediation works for the upgrade and expansion of Wexham Park Golf Centre in Stoke Poges. Using a bespoke A25 Permit, materials were recovered, processed, and reused on site, providing cost and programme savings while minimising landfill. Wexham Park Golf Centre is widely recognised as one of the leading daily fee golf destinations in Buckinghamshire and the South East, offering high-quality facilities for members and visitors alike.
Located on the border of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire in Stoke Poges, the club features two golf courses, family golf facilities, professional tuition, and extensive practice amenities, including a short game area, driving range, and putting green. The courses provide an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all abilities and are maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the year.
Toureen was appointed to deliver land remediation works at Wexham Park Golf Centre as part of the site’s upgrade and expansion programme. A comprehensive range of remediation and enabling services was provided to prepare the site for future development works while maximising the reuse and recycling of materials.
Through the successful acquisition of a bespoke A25 Permit, Toureen was authorised to recover and repurpose waste materials on site. This enabled significant cost and programme benefits for the client, while substantially reducing the requirement for landfill disposal.
The permit also facilitated the treatment and processing of imported and existing site materials, allowing Toureen to create suitable construction materials for the golf course development. Examples included the reuse of shingle for drainage applications and processed soils for level formation and build-up works.
These sustainable initiatives reduced the demand for virgin materials and reinforced a circular economy approach focused on recovery, reuse, and responsible material management.
