SLOUGH DATA CENTRE
Working closely with our client, Toureen Remediation and Blu-3 UK have collaboratively reviewed the earthworks design and implemented value engineering across all aspects of the project’s earthworks scope.
Through a detailed CL:AIRE DoWCoP Materials Management Plan (MMP), supported by robust ground assessment, structural soil stabilisation, and soil processing, significant value has been achieved. This approach enabled the use of shallow foundations, removing the need for a carbon- and cost-intensive piled solution, while also maximising the reuse of onsite materials. As a result, reliance on imported aggregates was significantly reduced, improving sustainability outcomes, programme delivery, and overall cost efficiency.
In total, 20,000m³ of material was diverted from landfill and 16,000m³ of aggregate import was avoided.
