DUBLIN AIRPORT
Toureen Ireland is delivering a 412-bedroom, 11-storey hotel at Dublin Airport Terminal 2, directly connected to the existing elevated walkway. The project includes accommodation, restaurants, conference facilities, leisure spaces, and a rooftop terrace.
Toureen Ireland has been appointed as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) for the development of a 412-bedroom, 11-storey Terminal 2 hotel at Dublin Airport. The development will integrate directly with the existing elevated walkway serving Terminal 2.
The hotel will feature food and beverage outlets located on Level 2 and Level 11, including a rooftop terrace seating area. Accommodation will consist of guest bedrooms across Levels 3–10, with suites and an executive club located on Level 11.
Additional facilities include a large ballroom, conference and meeting rooms, office space, and a gym. Back-of-house areas will incorporate dedicated facilities for housekeeping, security, and building services, as well as a feature “living” green wall.
Externally, the building will comprise a glazed façade, complemented by louvre and rainscreen cladding systems. Ancillary works include the construction of a bicycle storage facility, a staff smoking shelter to the rear of the hotel, a dedicated delivery area, and security barriers.
A key project challenge is the successful delivery of the works while maintaining uninterrupted operation of the adjacent elevated walkway, which passes within the hotel footprint. Passenger safety and uninterrupted access between the terminals and airport car parks remain a priority throughout the construction phase.
Further complexity is introduced by excavation and piling works in close proximity to the live walkway and Dublin Airport Authority’s operational underground services infrastructure. Ensuring continuity of airport operations while delivering a high-quality, safe, and timely project is central to Toureen Ireland’s approach.
