Toureen Retail has successfully delivered another EV charging hub for MFG, including a new underground fuel storage tank and a retail shop featuring Pret A Manger and Greggs.

The 30+ week programme commenced with the site remaining operational while enabling works were undertaken. Following closure, the project progressed into a full demolition and rebuild phase which, as with schemes of this scale, presented a range of technical and logistical challenges.

The completed development includes jet wash bays, a valet centre, and a dedicated EV charging hub, alongside a new sales area with food concessions. The scheme is complemented by a redeveloped forecourt and a new canopy incorporating integrated solar technology.

Shell EV Charging, Luton

The Shell Luton Airport project showcased a wide range of Toureen Retail’s expertise, including the full demolition of the existing site and construction of a large sheet-piled retaining wall with a capping beam to accommodate six high-power EV charging bays.

Shell EV Hub

Toureen is proud to have been appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver Shell Fulham, a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) charging hub. As Shell transitions from an oil company to a broader energy provider, this project represents the first time an existing service station has been replaced entirely with high-speed EV charging infrastructure to meet evolving customer demand.

BP PFS & EV Charging Station, Astwick

The works consisted of the extension of the existing sales building to facilitate additional sales floor space, upgraded toilet facilities and a seating area for customers. The external works consisted of a new HGV fuel area with additional fuel tank and canopy installed and a re-design of the existing site to allow the COSTA drive thru lane and associated parking area to be installed.

EV HUB at NEC Birmingham

Toureen was appointed as principal contractor to deliver one of the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging hubs in Europe, located within the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) campus.
