SHELL EV HUB
Toureen is proud to have been appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver Shell Fulham, a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) charging hub. As Shell transitions from an oil company to a broader energy provider, this project represents the first time an existing service station has been replaced entirely with high-speed EV charging infrastructure to meet evolving customer demand.
The scope of works included the removal of existing fuel tanks and all hydrocarbon-related infrastructure. In their place, two substations were constructed within the building envelope to power a bank of fast EV chargers. Architecturally, the scheme features two striking timber glulam canopies fitted with solar panels, alongside a newly configured sales kiosk housing a Little Waitrose convenience store and Costa Coffee outlet.
Through detailed planning and extensive experience, Toureen’s in-house delivery teams ensured the project was delivered to the highest standards—on time and with a strong focus on sustainability—despite complex logistics and an ambitious construction programme.
